Creepy Chaussures.

Shoes are awesome and for this reason I felt it fitting to create an ode to the humble shoe. Although I use the *Marmite of the poetry family, it is in no way a reflection of my affection for footwear.

Here is my acrostic poem;

Sensitive

Helpful

Obliging

Echoey

Special

Now a poem using the letters of the Spanish word for shoes;

Zazzy (an actual word meaning “shiny or flashy”. Forget about “bling.” Zazzy is the 2.0 upgraded version. It’s “snazzy” on drugs).

Arid

Pungent

Abrasive

Tenacious

Obdurate

Sassy

*Marmite is an edible yeast extract with the visual properties of an industrial lubricant, similar to Vegemite, only shit. Some people enjoy it with porridge. For other tips in the countless ways of incorporating Marmite into your every meal, The Marmite Cookbook is a helpful and enjoyable read.

Sense of this love fest can only be made through a rhyming jingle...obviously.

A few months ago, in Sydney-town,

I spotted a girl, an orange shade of brown.

She was as thin as a pencil, with long golden hair,

Navy knee high socks and a “come hither” stare.

I’d been shopping all day, too many choices to choose,

Hadn’t liked a single thing, ‘til I caught sight of her shoes.

This particular sighting just could not be forgot,

The fact of the matter is I liked them a lot.

So I scoured and searched the depths of the Net,

Soon, fruitless searching was making me fret.

Then I suddenly saw them, cue the lightning flash,

I was so excited, I broke out in a rash.

The embark on a search, inspired by a cool peeper,

Has led to the discovery of the shoe called the Creeper.

I understand why these don't sit well with some people, and there are some seriously fugly Creepers out there. These, however, are couture's answer to Creepers.

This French inspired shoot reminded me of the amazing costume design of Marie Antoinette. I could watch that movie a million times purely for the apparel and colour of the film.

Things I Love.

A rainy day, one of 28, seemed a perfect time for finding things I love. Aesthetically pleasing & make me smile.

Every piece achieves beauty through simplicity, with small details achieving maximum impact. Love it.
